About the Seminar

Jainism, one of the most ancient traditions of India, has profoundly enriched the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) through its philosophical depth, ethical teachings, literature, art, and scientific approach to life. The lineage of Jain Acharyas contributed significantly in the various fields of Indian Literature and played a vital role in the upliftment of Indian Society and spreading moral values. This seminar on “Jainism and Indian Knowledge System” aims to explore the contribution of Jain knowledge and culture in shaping the intellectual, social and cultural traditions of India, and its contemporary relevance in building a sustainable, peaceful, and inclusive society.
